Pronounced "roy–boss" and means "red bush" in Afrikaans. This tea is the original Rooibos – as it comes from the plant. No fermentation whatsoever. Studies have shown this tea is comparable to green tea in the amounts of polyphenols it contains.
Often called “African redbush tea,” Rooibos herbal tea delights the senses and delivers potential health benefits with each caffeine-free sip.
Like the antioxidant-rich teas from the tea plant that produce black, green, and oolongs teas, rooibos has also been found to be rich in antioxidants. In general, antioxidants are an important part to our diet as they help protect our healthy cells from free radicals damage.
